“I joined Surfpop when I was 10 years, and I remember feeling nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. Everyone was so welcoming, and it didn’t take long before I felt like I belonged. Looking back now, I never imagined that one day Surfpop would become such an important part of my life.

Surfpop has helped shape the person I am today. It has given me a safe place where I can learn, study, surf, laugh, and grow. It has taught me to believe in myself even when life gets difficult. One of the hardest moments for me was losing Zwai. He wasn’t just our Surfpop driver—he was someone who cared for us like family. During that difficult time, Surfpop reminded me that I wasn’t alone. The love and support from everyone helped me get through it, and it showed me what a strong community really looks like. Surfpop isn’t just a program to me; it is my second family.

Surfpop has taught me respect, kindness, teamwork, leadership, resilience, and responsibility. I have learned that challenges can help us grow, and that supporting one another makes us stronger. These lessons will stay with me for the rest of my life.
