Surf Instructors Course

Join Surfpop this August for a unique program combining volunteering, professional surf coaching, and the opportunity to earn internationally recognised surf instructor qualifications! In the mornings you surf consistent winter swells in Muizenberg and join weekly surf tours to explore Cape Town’s best breaks. Under guidance of our instructors you work towards obtaining your ISA Level 1 Surf Instructor certification and your First Aid and Water Safety qualifications. In the afternoons you get to share your knowledge and stoke in the water with the Surfpop kids.

For the ultimate South African experience, you can add our Surfari up the east coast to discover famous breaks like Supertubes in Jeffreys Bay and see wildlife up close in Addo Elephant National Park.

This package is specifically aimed at intermediate to advanced surfers with a minimum of two years of surfing experience, who are able to surf clean and unbroken waves, and surf down the line (left or right) in shoulder high conditions.
